DPE and Aviation Writer, Jason Blair provided a seminar that covered many administrative and practical test documentary requirements that frequently cause an applicant to be ineligible for a test when the DPE and the applicant are both there and hoping the test will be able to proceed. This included discussion of duties and responsibilities that CFIs need to be aware of and properly document for training they provide toward their students certificate and/or rating experience and aeronautical knowledge. The seminar is a great review for CFIs, a set of tips to make sure you don’t miss little things as a CFI for your students, and a discussion of some of the administrative gotchas that stop test from going forward, the seminar aimed to help reduce the failure to proceed checkride events hat take up valuable slots for practical tests in our national aviation testing system.
