As a local diver in West Michigan, there are some resources that are that I recommend for diving in the area and a couple more that I have developed that may be of use for local divers/fishermen. So, here they area:

Aviation Weather Radar Site – Current radar loops.
Predictive Radar Forecast Site – Shows modeled radar over up to 72 hours into the future.

Southwest Michigan Underwater Preserve – The preserve that is specifically set forth to cover the areas of Lake Michigan adjacent to Southwest Michigan. I happen to be a Board member of this preserve and am dedicated to helping it and the other preserves in Michigan successful and promoting diving in our local area.
Michigan Shipwreck Preserves – There are multiple shipwreck preserves in Michigan, this link will bring you to the listing of them all and you can find individual preserve information from the links on this page. The preserves also provide GPS waypoint information for many dive/wreck sites.
Michigan Shipwreck Research Association – This group has been actively been doing shipwreck research and searching in the West Michigan area. MSRA also provides very accurate dive/wreck site GPS coordinates.
Local West Michigan Dive Shops –
Downloadable Dive Site/Wreck Waypoints –
These are points that have been input from trusted GPS point resources and can be uploaded via SD card into most GPS units used on boats. Feel free to download them and use them on your own diving and/or fishing boats. (These files are in .zip format, so you will need to unzip the files after downloading to use them)
